UAB to Host AAC Indoor Track and Field Championship

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB track and field team, in conjunction with the American Athletic Conference, will host the AAC Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23-24, at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Blazers are led into the championship meet by freshman sprinter Gabby Washington and junior pole vaulter Trinity Fellows. Washington enters her first championship meet just outside the top 10 in both the 200 and 400 meter dash. Fellows ranks ninth in the pole vault and each are coming off PRs at their last meet in Nashville.
Friday's action at the Crossplex begins on Friday at 9 a.m. with the women's pentathlon 60m and concludes at 5:40 with the men's DMR. Saturday action starts at 9:45 a.m. and concludes at 3:15 p.m.
Admission to the Complex is free and open to the public.
