LAST TIME OUT
The Blazers went on the road and picked up a win over Tulsa last Sunday, 70-63. Despite struggling from the field, UAB put together a strong defensive effort to hold off the Golden Hurricane. STOCK RISING
Yaxel Lendeborg is beginning to find his rhythm in his debut season at UAB. The junior forward had a breakout game on the offensive end against Furman where he had 19 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks, three assists and two steals, all while shooting 8-for-10 from the field. He earned AAC Player of the Week honors after putting up 24 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in a win over UNC Asheville and followed up that performance with 23 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks at UTSA. Lendeborg put up yet another impressive double-double with 23 points, 16 boards and four assists against No. 19 Memphis. He posted an eye-popping 17 points and 21 rebounds in a win over No. 20 Florida Atlantic. His 21 boards are the second-most by a Blazer in program history. The 6'9" forward is averaging 12.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game early in his career.
