BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Department of Athletics has made 2024-25 UAB men's basketball single game tickets available starting today. Secure the best seats in Bartow Arena by purchasing your tickets in advance to see the reigning 2024 American Conference champions in action
The Blazers open the season at home against Vermont (Nov. 4) in a contest that features two programs that were in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The Catamounts have won three straight America East titles and are primed to do so once again.
This season's 2023-24 home slate includes eighteen home contests at Bartow Arena. In addition to hosting Vermont in the season-opener, home contests during non-conference competition include former Conference USA rival Southern Miss (Nov. 7), Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 10), Auburn Montgomery (Nov. 18), Middle Tennessee (Dec. 1), Prairie View A&M (Dec. 6), Arkansas State (Dec. 15), Alabama A&M (Dec. 18), and Alcorn State (Dec. 22).
The American Athletic Conference slate will include nine home games, highlighted by matchups against Tulsa (Jan. 4), Tulane (Jan. 7), UTSA (Jan. 21), Charlotte (Feb. 1), North Texas (Feb. 3), South Florida (Feb. 16), Temple (Feb. 23), Memphis (March 2) and Florida Atlantic (March 6). The Blazers were picked first in the American Conference preseason poll and will look to capture their first regular season conference title since the 2015-16 season.
Over the last four seasons under Andy Kennedy, the Blazers have compiled 101 wins, which is tied for 10th in the country over that span. UAB returns major producers from last year's NCAA Tournament team including American Conference Preseason Player of the Year Yaxel Lendeborg, Christian Coleman, Efrem "Butta" Johnson, Alejandro Vasquez and Tony Toney. In addition to the strong returning group, the Blazers have brought in talented transfers in Tyren Moore, Greg Gordon, Bradley Ezewiro and the No. 3 JUCO player in the country in Ja'Borri McGhee.
