BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – UAB men's soccer (4-5-4, 1-3-1 AAC) fell on the road at Gardner-Webb (8-3-2, 3-0-1 Big South) by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday night. The Runnin' Bulldogs outshot the Blazers 25-9 on the night.

The Blazers jumped out to a first half lead as Alan Melendez headed home a corner kick from Simon Helt in the 25^th minute to give UAB a 1-0 lead.

UAB added to its lead early in the second half as Gui Gragnano scored his second goal of the season in the 51^st minute to give the Blazers a 2-0 advantage.

The Runnin' Bulldogs pulled one back in the 63^rd minute as Lucas Gonzalez got GWU on the board, but they were not done there. Gardner-Webb then leveled the match at 2-2 in the 79^th minute.

In the 85^th minute, a foul in the box gave GWU a penalty kick and Lucas Mauro was able to convert to complete the comeback.

The Blazers will travel to Charlotte to take on the 49ers on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.
