Men's Soccer Hosts Temple for Senior Night

BIRMINGHAM - UAB men's soccer will host Temple on Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT for Senior Night. Eight seniors will be honored prior to the match beginning at 6:45 p.m.
The seniors recognized will include Tommy Case, Edy Gael, Coleman Jennings, Ivan Jolivet, Jacob Jowers, Chris McKenna, Garrett Olson, and Cesar Ripa.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series is tied between UAB and Temple at 0-0-2. The Blazers and the Owls have tied both matches over the last two seasons.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
The Blazers finished with a 1-1 draw against AAC foe Tulsa on Saturday night. The Golden Hurricane took an early lead with a goal in the 20th minute, but Humphrey Doh was able to get the Blazers on the board later in the half to tie it up. UAB keeper Jonathan Munteanu made four saves to preserve the result.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
Temple has eight difference goalscorers on the season, but each of them have only one goal apiece. The Owls have played two keepers during the season with Andrew Kempe starting six matches and Flannan Riley starting seven. Overall, the Owls are allowing 1.31 goals per contest.
SOPHOMORE SENSATIONS
UAB Sophomores have scored 11 of the Blazers' 14 goals this season, led by Humphrey Doh, Tony Kim, and Lucas Rizzo with three goals each. Isaac Calderon and Gui Gragnano each have scored once this season.
LILLY'S TURNAROUND
David Lilly took over the reins for UAB after the Blazers did not win a match during the 2023 season. So far this year, Lilly has helped UAB reach its highest win total since 2018, reach as high as 30 in the RPI, win its first conference match since 2021 and pick up a win over an ACC opponent for the first time since 2011.
