BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer (4-3-4, 1-2-1 AAC) tied with Tulsa (2-7-3, 1-2-1) on Saturday night at PNC Field by a score of 1-1.

The Golden Hurricane took the lead early in the 20^th minute after a Alvaro Torrijos found Gijs Hovius on the right wing and his shot was too much for Munteanu to handle, giving Tulsa a 1-0 lead.

UAB got on the board in the 33^rd minute as Tony Kim's shot from just inside the box was blocked, but it fell right to Humphrey Doh and he left one-on-one with the Tulsa keeper. Doh was able to find the back of the net to level the score.

In the second half, the Blazers had a pair of chances to take the lead. The first came in the 55^th minute as Doh crossed the ball in to Gui Gragnano, but his shot sailed over the bar. Later in the 77^th minute, Coleman Jennings nearly put the Blazers ahead, but Tulsa keeper Alex Lopes made the save to keep it level.

Jonathan Munteanu finished the night with four saves and negated each of the Golden Hurricane's chances down the stretch.

The Blazers will host Temple on Saturday, October 19 at 7 p.m. CT at PNC Field.
