Volleyball Preview: Temple and Charlotte

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB Volleyball team looks to get back on track with two home volleyball games Friday and Sunday. Friday's match will be at 7 p.m. against Temple while Sunday's match will be at 1 p.m. against Charlotte.
In collaboration with the American Athletic Conference, UAB will host Powerful Minds Night to provide awareness for student athlete's mental health. We will also be giving away rally towels to the first 200 fans. Sunday UAB will be hosting the Special Olympics Volleyball Team of Alabama.
Charlotte has lost six out of their last seven games, while UAB have lost eight straight games. The 49er's beat UTSA on Sunday in a five set thriller.
Temple is coming off of two straight wins to Binghamton and Florida Atlantic. The Owls beat FAU 3-0 last Sunday in Philadelphia.
SERIES HISTORY
Temple leads the series with UAB with a 2-1 record. UAB has lost the last two with both being in Philadelphia last year. This will be the first time UAB has ever played Temple in Birmingham.
UAB leads the series against Charlotte with a 21-15 record. The Blazers and 49er's used to be in Conference USA together before moving to the American. The last matchup saw UAB win 3-2 at home in 2023. UAB has won three out of the last four games against Charlotte.
