UAB Men’s Tennis Downs North Alabama, 6-1

FLORENCE, Ala. – UAB men's tennis (1-2) picked up its first win of the season on Monday afternoon at North Alabama (0-3), downing the Lions, 6-1.
The win marked the first during the tenure of new head coach Ezequiel Gils.
The Blazers opened the match by taking the doubles point. Ondrej Valek and Noah Malige took care of business on Court One while Carlos Gimenez Perez teamed up with Juan Pablo Valdez to secure the point with a win on Court Three.
DOUBLES
UAB was able to capture five of the six singles points, capped off by a three-set thriller on Court No. 1. Carlos Gimenez Perez was able to come back after dropping the first set to earn the point and conclude the match.
