Men’s Tennis Set to Face Tennessee Tech in Home Opener

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis will face Tennessee Tech in the first home match of the season on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT at the Hoover Met Tennis Complex.
The Blazers picked up their first win of the season on Monday at North Alabama, taking the match by a score of 6-1. UAB claimed the doubles point before capturing five of the six singles points. Carlos Gimenez Perez picked up a win on Court No. 1 in a three-set thriller.
The victory marked the first in the head coaching career of Ezequiel Gils. Gils became the Blazers' head coach this offseason.
