TULSA, Okla. – UAB men's soccer (0-5-4, 0-2-1) could not find the equalizer on Friday night against Tulsa (4-3-2, 2-0-0), falling 1-0.

The Golden Hurricane got on the board in the eighth minute. Goalkeeper Jonathan Munteanu and defender Issah Hamidu worked hard to keep the ball out of the net, but Yuki Sekiguchi was able to find a goal to put Tulsa ahead, 1-0.

In the 37^th minute, the Tulsa keeper was given a red card after a bad pass gave the Blazers a chance to score and he blocked a shot outside the box with his arm.

The Blazers were able to generate a handful of chances in the second half. Humphrey Doh nearly leveled the score in the 51^st minute, but a Tulsa defender was able to make the save in front of the goal.

UAB could not find the equalizer in the second half despite firing 13 shots.

The Blazers will face FIU on Wednesday, October 4 at PNC Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
