Men's Soccer Hits the Road to Take on Tulsa

BIRMINGHAM - UAB men's soccer (0-4-4, 0-1-1) returns to AAC play on Friday night against Tulsa (3-2-2, 1-0-0). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.

SERIES HISTORY
Tulsa leads the all-time series 11-3-2. The Blazers earned a 0-0 draw in last year's meeting, as Jack Hudson shut out the Golden Hurricane.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
UAB tied Georgia Southern at PNC Field on Tuesday night. The Blazers took a 1-0 lead early in the second half on Noe Garcia's first UAB goal. The Eagles answered back late to tie it up in the 76th minute and neither side to jump ahead.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
Tulsa is let by Malik Henry-Scott and Sergio Baena on the offensive end. The duo has accounted for seven of the Golden Hurricane's 12 goals this season. TU also boasts one of the top goalkeepers in the country in Alex Lopez. Lopez is the reigning AAC Goalkeeper of the Year.
NEWCOMERS STEPPING UP
This season, underclassmen have scored eight of the Blazers' nine goals, with five coming from newcomers. Freshmen Isaac Calderon and Humphrey Doh lead the Blazers with two goals each while Kaleb Jowers, Alan Melendez, Noe Garcia and Haris Osmanbasic each have one. Five of the seven goalscorers had not scored a goal for UAB entering the season.
DOH NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Humphrey Doh was named Rookie of the Week by the AAC after his brace against Temple (Sept. 23). His first goal was a rocket from outside the box into the bottom right corner of the goal. Only moments later, he added another with a header into the net right in front of the goal.

Men's Soccer season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card will allow you to gain access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for American Athletic Conference or NCAA Championship events.
