Men’s Golf to Host Graeme McDowell Invitational at Limestone Springs

ONEONTA, Ala. – The UAB men's golf team is set to host the Graeme McDowell Invitational this Sunday-Tuesday, Sept. 24-26, at Limestone Spring Golf Club in Oneonta, Ala.

The Blazers host a field that includes Jacksonville State, Lamar, Louisiana, North Alabama, Oral Roberts, Samford, Southern Illinois, Tarleton State, Troy, ULM, UTRGV and USC Upstate.

The tournament is set for 18 holes each day with tees time starting at 8:30 a.m. off holes one and ten. The course is a par 72 that plays 6,987 yards.

UAB looks to continue its momentum after tying for first place at the Argent Financial Classic two weeks ago in Louisiana., Led by Khavish Varadan who shot -11 for the tournament, including a 65 (-7) in the final round as he tied for second place.

Head Coach Matt Whall will field two full teams this week. Team A consists of Khavish Varadan, Paul Bruce, John Bruce, Will Stelt and Seb Cave. Team B is Garrison Guthrie, Price Brown, Trace Bracknell, Morgan Slaton and Blayne Armstrong.
