Frazier Named 2023 C-USA Scholar-Athlete of the Year

DALLAS – Conference USA announced their 2023 Scholar-Athlete Award Recipients. Of the 16 recipients announced, three represent UAB, with catcher Sierra Frazier adding another academic achievement to her belt. The 2023 graduate was named the sole softball recipient of the award.
The awards are presented to the top student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport based on academic achievement (GPA), athletic achievement, and service.
"Thank you to UAB for helping me succeed in the classroom and to Conference USA for this amazing award!." said Frazier.
The catcher from Corona, CA finished her season with numerous athletic and academic achievements to her arsenal in her final season as a Blazer. With a C-USA First Team nod, along with her highest honor in being named Player of the Year, Frazier was no stranger to achievements in the diamond.
She finished with a 3.8 GPA, graduating with a bachelor of science in kinesiology and a concentration in fitness leadership. Frazier committed to academic success since her arrival when she was named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2019. Being an active member of SAAC for four years, being named to the dean's list, and being awarded presidential honors, she has been an impact in the classroom as much as she has in the diamond.
