STARKVILLE – UAB Track & Field completed their regular season run at the Mississippi State Maroon and White Invite on Saturday Afternoon. The Blazers completed the weekend with multiple PRs and top-eight finishes in the meet.
"We had a real positive showing this weekend. We brought a partial squad with several athletes graduating this weekend and holding others out," said head coach Kurt Thomas. "The girls showed up and took advantage of the situation. The throwers had some good throws on Friday. Gina ran a great race in a fast 800, finishing with a big PR and sitting in good position for the C-USA championships. Trinity had some good jumps in the vault, and Kat came out and put together a great hurdle race to set her up well for the conference championships."
The Blazers complete the regular season and get in postseason preparation mode for the C-USA Outdoor Championships in Denton.
