UAB Women’s Tennis Falls to UTSA in C-USA First Round 4-1

DENTON, Texas – The UAB women's tennis team's season ended on Thursday afternoon after falling to UTSA 4-1 in the first round of the 2023 Conference USA Championship.
The No. 8 seed Roadrunners (14-9) took the doubles point and won matches on Courts 1, 2 and 3 to secure the victory.
The Blazers (9-10) got their point from Enya Ratkic on Court 5, 6-2, 6-2.
This marks the final Conference USA Championship for UAB as the Blazers will join the American Athletic Conference next season. Since joining C-USA, UAB is 24-27 in the league's championship, winning the crown in 1996. The Blazers have gone to the championship match three other times – 1998, 2000 and 2001.
