UAB MBB to Play in 2023 Asheville Championship

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball is set to participate in the 2023 Asheville Championship on November 10 and 12, the tournament announced on Tuesday. The Blazers will be joined in the four-team field by Clemson, Davidson, and Maryland.
The games will be played at Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Matchups will be announced at a later date. Tickets for the general public will go on sale starting April 17, 2023 and can be purchased at ashevillechampionship.com.
UAB is 2-1 all-time against Clemson, but the Blazers have never faced Maryland or Davidson. During the 2022-23 season, the Blazers captured the Sunshine Slam title with wins over South Florida and Georgia. UAB is 3-1 in MTEs since Andy Kennedy, including last year's Sunshine Slam title, that marked the first MTE championship for the Blazers since 2008-09 in an event that included a power conference opponent.
2023-24 SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets for the 2023-24 UAB men's basketball season are now available starting as low as $110. Season ticket packages will feature all home games during UAB's inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference and provide the most cost-effective way to attend games at Bartow Arena. Fans may renew season tickets, purchase new season tickets or request more information on season ticket options here.
