Frazier Named C-USA Player of the Week (April 10)

DALLAS – Sierra Frazier was named the C-USA Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. The honor is Frazier's first C-USA Player of the Week nod for the 2023 Season.
"Very excited for Sierra to be recognized for another big week," said head coach AJ Daugherty. "She puts in the work, and to see that pay off with clutch hitting to help us secure a big series win is gratifying."
Frazier, a senior, finished the weekend with six hits on nine at-bats total in the Louisiana Tech Series. The Blazers clinched their first series win over the Lady Techsters in two seasons. She tallied two hits per game with four in one day, including a homer in game one.
Her go-ahead double in the seventh inning on Saturday put the Blazers in position to rally back from their scoring deficit and eventually win in the team's third walk-off of the season at Mary Bowers Field.
She currently sits at nine home runs and 31 RBIs with a batting average of .327, making her the second-highest hitter on the team. She leads the team in slugging percentage with .663.
Frazier and the Blazers travel to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks for a three-game series on Friday, April 14 through Sunday, April 16.
