MURFREESBORO – The Blazers dropped game two against the MTSU Blue Raiders with a 2-1 loss in eight innings. The Blazers' overall record now sits at 12-15 and 1-4 in C-USA play.

The game started with two early outs before Sierra Frazier delivered a single to left field to put the Blazers on base early. The Green and Gold's Olivia Valbak had a groundout to the shortstop to bring the game to the middle of the first.
UAB starved the Blue Raiders of any scoring opportunities early. The Blazers found themselves giving MTSU a runner on base after an error. A single from Carcich gave the Blue Raiders the threat to score, but it was fruitless after Harris struck out swinging.
In the third, Alyssa Aguilar was on base after being hit by a pitch, and Lauren Brock delievered a single. Sierra Frazier put the first run on the board with a sac fly to give Aguilar the green light to cross home plate. The game went through the remaining innings without a response from MTSU until the final two innings of competition.
In the seventh, the Green and Gold aimed to put away the game but had back-to-back outs. Carlie Wilkins entered as a pinch hitter for Lindsey Smith but would be unsuccessful in getting on base or scoring. A single down from Harvey and a sac bunt advancing her to second put MTSU in scoring position. An RBI single from the Blue Raiders' Sargent tied the score at one. There were no scoring runs after, forcing the game into extra innings.
In the eighth inning, UAB left two runners on base, with one hit from Brock. Two Blazers walked, giving opportunities to capitalize on runs, but were unsuccessful. Frazier's groundout to third base turned the game into what would eventually be the final half of the inning.
The Blue Raiders tallied two hits and reached on an error, loading the bases. Garcia drew the game to a close when she hit an RBI single to center field to allow a runner to cross home plate in a walk-off RBI single to end the game at two runs to one.
