UAB Baseball Welcomes Murray State to the Hoover Met Stadium

BIRMINGHAM – UAB (1-3) will play Murray State (1-3) for a three-game series at the Hoover Met Stadium. The series begins Friday, Feb. 24 with first pitch set for 2 P.M.

The Blazers are coming off a 1-3 start to their season including a 4-3 win over Northwestern State in the Jaguar Classic. Murray State, who is also 1-3, defeated North Florida, 11-3, on Saturday, Feb. 18. Christian Hall and John Marc Mullins lead the team in batting average (.357) and hits (5) while Blayze Berry and Carson Myers lead the pitching staff in ERA (3.60) and innings pitch (5.0).
SERIES HISTORY
This will be UAB and Murray State's sixth overall meeting and first game in 19 years. The Blazers lead 4-2 over the Racers which includes a four-game winning streak. In the last meeting between the two programs, UAB swept Murray State on Feb. 20-22, 2004; however, the Racers took the win in the first ever meeting in 1995 and the following year.
