UAB Women’s Tennis Signs Klara Kajabova

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's tennis head coach Mark Tjia has announced the signing of Klara Kajabova to a National Letter of Intent.
"We are extremely excited that Klara has chosen to join our Blazer family," said Tjia. "She has a big game with a very high ceiling. We only seek players who love our culture and team values. Klara definitely fits that description, and we are delighted that she is just as excited to come to Southside as we are to have her here."
Kajabova, a native of Vsetin, Czech Republic, is currently ranked No. 45 in the women's rankings in her home country. She has had numerous wins over players with WTA professional rankings, including a recent win over the 26th ranked Czech player/WTA #511, Julie Struplova.
Kajabova will be the third player from the Czech Republic to play for the Blazers under Coach Tjia joining former player Dominika Hrabalova, and current player Adela Wasserbauerova.
