BIRMINGHAM - UAB men's basketball (17-8, 8-6 C-USA) hosts Middle Tennessee (15-10, 8-6 C-USA) for the 14th annual Bartow Classic. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. CT.

For every single-game ticket sold, $2 will be given to the Gene Bartow Fund for Cancer Research at the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB.

SERIES HISTORY
UAB leads the all-time series 17-10 and the Blazers hold a 7-4 advantage in Birmingham. The Blue Raiders took the first meeting between the two teams in Murfreesboro in overtime, 74-73. Ty Brewer's potential game-winning jumper left his hand just after the buzzer sounded and the basket was waved off.

LAST TIME OUT
The Blazers fell on the road in double overtime at North Texas, 82-79. Jordan Walker finished with 20 points as five Blazers put up double-digits. UAB entered the contest riding a four-game winning streak. The Blazers hit a season-high 12 three-pointers, but struggled to get to and convert from the free throw line, shooting 5-for-10.

GET TO THE LINE
The Blazers are one of the best teams in the country at getting to the charity stripe. UAB is fifth in the nation in free throws made per game at 17.8 while ranking sixth nationally in free throw attempts per game with 24.2. At the line, the Blazers are knocking down their attempts at a 73.3 percent clip, ranking 114th in the country.

ATTACK THE GLASS
UAB currently ranks near the top of the NCAA leaderboards in rebounds per game and offensive rebounds per game. The Blazers currently sit at No. 3 in the NCAA in rebounds per game at 41.4 and they are tied at No. 2 in offensive rebounds per game at 13.9. The Blazers lead Conference USA in both categories.

Individual and corporate groups can plan a memorable experience at Bartow Arena by filling out the UAB Basketball Group Ticket Request Form. Discounted group tickets and fan experiences are available for a minimum purchase of 15 tickets, and fan experiences are available on a first come, first served basis to any home basketball game during the 2022-23 season.
