Men's Soccer Wraps Up 2023 Against No. 4 SMU on Senior Night

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer will close the 2023 season on Friday against No. 4 SMU for senior night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
The Blazers will recognize Henry Bruer-Schmadalla, Noe Garcia, Mayno Linares, Tyrell Price, Nir Shemesh and Caelan Whitehead prior to the match.

SERIES HISTORY
SMU leads the all-time series 7-3-2. The Mustangs took last year's matchup 1-0. Jack Hudson had eight saves in the contest.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
UAB fell on the road at South Florida on Saturday by a score of 2-1. Gustavo Barbosa scored a goal for the second-straight game after his cross into the box went untouched and found the back of the net.
SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
SMU is led by one of the top goal scorers in the nation in Jelldrick Dallmann. Dallman leads the Mustangs with 10 goals on the season, including four game-winners. Cole Johnson has started all 13 matches for SMU in goal and holds a 0.70 GAA.
NEWCOMERS STEPPING UP
This season, underclassmen have scored 10 of the Blazers' 12 goals, with five coming from newcomers. Isaac Calderon, Humphrey Doh and Gustavo Barbosa lead the Blazers with two goals each while Kaleb Jowers, Alan Melendez, Noe Garcia, and Haris Osmanbasic each have one. Six of the nine goalscorers had not scored a goal for UAB entering the season.

Men's Soccer season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card will allow you to gain access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for American Athletic Conference or NCAA Championship events.
