BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer travels to face off with South Florida on Saturday in Tampa. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.

SERIES HISTORY
USF leads the all-time series 11-5-1. The teams tied in last year's matchup that finished in a 2-2 draw after the Blazers scored with seconds remaining.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
UAB fell to Memphis at home on Saturday, 3-1. Memphis jumped ahead 2-0 in the first half and added a third goal in the second half. Gustavo Barbosa scored his first collegiate goal in the second half, but UAB was unable to complete the comeback.

SCOUTING THE BULLS
South Florida is led by Jalen Anderson on the attack. Anderson leads the team with six goals while Ajmeer Spengler has one goal and six assists on the year. Alan Horrocks has started 11 of the Bulls' 12 matches and holds a 1.64 GAA.

FRESHMAN MAKING AN EARLY IMPACT
Isaac Calderon is making his mark early in his UAB career. The freshman from North Las Vegas, Nev. put one in the back of the net in his collegiate debut at Northern Kentucky and followed that up with another goal at Georgia State in game two. Calderon was ranked as the No. 64 player in Top Drawer Soccer's recruiting rankings for the 2023 class.

NEWCOMERS STEPPING UP
This season, underclassmen have scored nine of the Blazers' 11 goals, with five coming from newcomers. Freshmen Isaac Calderon and Humphrey Doh lead the Blazers with two goals each while Kaleb Jowers, Alan Melendez, Noe Garcia, Gustavo Barbosa and Haris Osmanbasic each have one. Six of the nine goalscorers had not scored a goal for UAB entering the season.

Men's Soccer season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card will allow you to gain access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for American Athletic Conference or NCAA Championship events.
