BIRMINGHAM - UAB men's basketball (12-2, 3-0 C-USA) travels to Boca Raton to face off with Florida Atlantic (12-1, 2-0 C-USA) in a battle of the top two teams in the Conference USA standings on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. CT. The Blazers are looking to snap the Owls' 11-game winning streak, dating back to Nov. 11.

SERIES HISTORY
UAB leads the all-time series 12-3, however all three of the Blazers' losses in the series have come at FAU Arena. Head Coach Andy Kennedy is 2-0 in his career against the Owls after leading the Blazers to a pair of wins during the 2021-22 season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Blazers cruised to a 90-67 win over UTSA on Saturday to move to 3-0 in C-USA play for the third consecutive season under Andy Kennedy. Jordan Walker scored 31 points while shooting 12-for-21 from the field and Eric Gaines added 18 points, six rebounds and seven assists.

Jordan "Jelly" Walker currently leads the nation in points per game at 25.2. He dropped 38 points in the season opener against Alabama State, the most scored by a UAB player in a season opener ever. Walker then captured Sunshine Slam MVP honors after scoring 31 points to go along with 6 rebounds, five assists and five steals against Georgia. He earned C-USA Player of the Week honors for his performance in the tournament. He and Andy Kennedy are the only two Blazers to have recorded seven 30+ point efforts. Walker has scored 30 or more points in four games this season and he has scored at least 25 points in nine of his 13 appearances.
NOTHING BUT "NET"
The Blazers currently sit at No. 62 in the NCAA's NET ranking system. UAB is the third-highest rated team in Conference USA, trailing only Florida Atlantic at No. 11 and North Texas at 53. Charlotte is just behind the Blazers at No. 73 to round out the Top 100 for Conference USA.

The Blazers have shown a plethora of scoring options in 2022-23.
