UAB Men’s Golf to Host Graeme McDowell Invitational

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's golf team is set to host the Graeme McDowell Invitational this Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 26-27, at RTJ Silver Lakes in Gadsden, Ala.
The Blazers welcome Campbell, Charleston Southern, Jacksonville, Jacksonville State, Lamar, Lipscomb, Louisiana, North Alabama, Troy, Tarleton State and USC Upstate to the event this week.
Head Coach Matt Whall will field a team consisting of Ethan Hagood, Alfie Fox, Paul Bruce, Cole Imig and Price Brown. Additionally, John Bruce, Matthew Streitman and Garrison Guthrie will participate as individuals.
The course is a par 72 and plays 7,467 yards. The field will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. UAB is paired with Jacksonville and Lamar on Monday.
"It's a real pleasure to be hosting this week at the beautiful RTJ Silver Lakes golf course," said Whall. "A home away from home for us which also brings back great memories from winning here last year. Hopefully we can see as many spectators as possible to cheer on our young team."
