UAB Men’s Golf Places 15th at Badger Invitational

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's golf team placed 15th in its first tournament of the 2022-23 season at the Badger Invitational in Madison, Wisc.
Due to weather, the field only played 36 holes with 18 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
Senior Ethan Hagood led UAB with a 29th place finish at even par. Hagood shot 73-71 and moved up eight spots in the final round.
Khavish Varadan, who entered the season with the second lowest career stroke average in school history, withdrew from the tournament in the second round due to an injury, while the remaining three Blazers all finished 64th or lower.
Alfie Fox finished in a tie for 64th at +6, and was followed by Paul Bruce (T68, +7) and Cole Imig (T75, +9).
The Blazers return to the course in two weeks to host the Graeme McDowell Invitational at RJ Silver Lakes in Gadsden, Ala.
