UAB Football Home Schedule Preview - Game 5: UTSA

BIRMINGHAM – After being on the road for two weeks, the UAB football team returns to Protective Stadium on Nov. 5 to host defending C-USA Champions, UTSA, for Kids Takeover and Youth Sports Day. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
This will be the seventh meeting between the Blazers and Roadrunners since 2013. UAB is leading the series 4-2 and had its four-game winning streak snapped last season with a 34-31 loss in San Antonio.
The game against UTSA starts a two-game home stand and is the third home C-USA contest. The next weekend, UAB will host North Texas (Nov. 12) for the final home game of the year.
The UTSA game is Kids Takeover and Youth Sports Day where kids will have the opportunity to be a guest PA announcer or DJ, and UAB will recognize local youth sports and coaches. Families can purchase a Family Zone four pack for $40 along with attending the Blazer Village in Uptown for free.

The Blazers return seven starters on offense and nine starters or co-starters on defense. UAB has 43 wins over the last five years, which is the most of any team in Conference USA.
