UAB Football to Host 2026 Football Golf Tournament

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – As UAB Football enters a new chapter under head coach Alex Mortensen, the Blazers will host the 2026 Football Golf Tournament on Wednesday, May 6, at Bent Brook Golf Course. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
The annual tournament serves as a key fundraising event for UAB Football, directly supporting the resources, development and competitive growth of the program.
"UAB Football means a lot to this city, and we want to continue strengthening that connection," Mortensen said. "This tournament is a great way for our supporters to spend time with our program and be part of the direction we're heading. We're building something we're proud of, and we want Birmingham with us every step of the way."
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals and organizations looking to support the Blazers, with registration and sponsorships available here.:
- Title Sponsor ($12,000): Includes four teams (16 players), premium signage and recognition on tournament-branded materials.
- Presenting Sponsor ($8,500): Includes three teams (12 players) and special recognition on signage and tournament materials.
- Blazer Sponsor ($5,500): Includes two teams (8 players), recognition during announcements and logo placement on signage.
- Green & Gold Sponsor ($2,000): Includes one team (4 players), lunch and promotional recognition.
- Lunch Sponsor ($3,000): Includes logo recognition displayed during lunch.
- Breakfast Sponsor ($1,000): Includes logo recognition displayed during breakfast.
- Hole Sponsor ($250): Includes hole signage with company logo.
- Tent Sponsor ($500): Includes tent setup and hole signage with logo.
- Putting Green Sponsor ($500): Includes signage displayed on the putting green.
- Beverage Cart Sponsor ($500): Includes logo placement on beverage carts.
- Individual Golfer ($500): Includes individual registration and lunch.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit UAB Football as the program builds momentum heading into the 2026 season.
