BIRMINGHAM-Β Softball season has begun! There is so much to be excited about in Birmingham as the team continues its 2022 season. UAB welcomes 15 newcomers to the roster this year. UABSports.com will introduce you to these new Blazers and provide unique opportunities to get to know them.

Why did you choose UAB?
SP: "At UAB, I had the opportunity to play softball while working toward my goal of going to medical school."

SP: Undeclared Β

What/who is your favorite Musician?
SP: Luke Combs
First softball memory:
SP: "Playing seven games in a row to come out of the loser's bracket to win the world series at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL."
Describe yourself in three words:Β
SP: Determined, personable, reliable.Β

Dream travel destination:
SP: Bora Bora

Favorite thing to do outside of softball:
SP: "I enjoy any outdoor activity, especially hunting."

What are you looking forward to most this season?
SP: "This season, I am looking forwardΒ to having fun with such a great team, along with working hard to achieveΒ the goals that we have set for ourselves."
UAB will be on the road forΒ a three-game series versus UTEPΒ this weekend. First pitchΒ versus the MinersΒ is set for 6:00 p.m. MT Friday in El Paso, TX.Β
