BIRMINGHAM- Softball season has begun! There is so much to be excited about in Birmingham as the team continues its 2022 season. UAB welcomes 15 newcomers to the roster this year. UABSports.com will introduce you to these new Blazers and provide unique opportunities to get to know them.
Today's Meet the Blazers profile features freshman outfielder Jaden Goodwin.

Position: Outfield
Height: 5-5
Hometown: Corner, AL.
High School: Corner
Why did you choose UAB?
JG: "I've always wanted to play here because it's close to home. I felt like God led me here because all the pieces fell in the right places."
What is your major?
JG: Kinesiology
What/who is your favorite Musician?
JG: Taylor Swift
First softball memory:
JG: "My dad teaching me to hit in our front yard when I was three years old."
Describe yourself in three words:
JG: "Ambitious, reliable, genuine."
Dream travel destination:
JG: Greece
Favorite thing to do outside of softball:
JG: "Shopping, going to the beach, watching the sunset, hanging out with family and friends, and going to coffee shops."
What are you looking forward to most this season?
JG: "Winning a championship."
UAB will host North Texas for a three-game series this weekend. First pitch of a doubleheader versus the Mean Green is set for 3:00 p.m. Friday at Mary Bowers Field.
