BIRMINGHAM- Softball season has begun! There is so much to be excited about in Birmingham as the team continues its 2022 season. UAB welcomes 15 newcomers to the roster this year. UABSports.com will introduce you to these new Blazers and provide unique opportunities to get to know them.
Today's Meet the Blazers profile features freshman outfielder Taylor Yeager.

Position: Outfield
Height: 5-1
Hometown: Hayden, AL.
High School: Hayden
Why did you choose UAB?
TY: "UAB gave me an opportunity to further my education and softball career while being close to home. It felt like the perfect fit for me."
What is your major?
TY: Elementary Education.
What is your favorite Musician?
TY: Cody Johnson
First softball memory:
TY: "Playing t-ball against Jaden (Goodwin) and watching her get hit in the neck with a bat."
Describe yourself in three words:
TY: "Organized, dependable, outgoing."
Dream travel destination:
TY: Montana, or Wyoming.
Favorite thing to do outside of softball:
TY: "I like to go to the beach, spend time with my family, and go riding in the woods."
What are you looking forward to most this season?
TY: "I am looking forward to making memories, and traveling to new places. I'm also looking forward to winning!"
UAB will fly to Norman, OK to face #1 Oklahoma this weekend on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
