UAB Returns to the Diamond for Home Series with Middle Tennessee

BIRMINGHAM – Coming off a 5-4 victory over Alabama, the UAB baseball team returns to Conference USA play this weekend against Middle Tennessee. The three game series at Young Memorial Field begins Friday night at 6 p.m.
UAB (14-5, 2-1 C-USA) has won all five of its weekend series so far this season and welcomes the Blue Raiders who enter the weekend at 8-12 overall and 1-2 in league play.
Weekend Series Schedule:
Friday – 6 p.m.
Saturday – 2 p.m.
Sunday – 1 p.m.

The Blazers have won three in-a-row and five of their last six contests, including UAB's midweek win over Alabama which was its first win over an SEC opponent since 2019.
Christian Hall continues to lead UAB in batting average at .429 and provided the game-winning RBI against the Crimson Tide on Wednesday. Fellow slugger Josh Sears is coming off a 2-for-4 performance against Alabama which was highlighted by his team-leading seventh home run and a leadoff double in the eighth.
The Blue Raiders lost 2-of-3 against Old Dominion in their last series, but took 2-of-3 from Auburn the series before. Mason Spiers is the team's leading batter at .383, while the pitching staff has a collective 6.09 ERA.
Following the Middle Tennessee series, UAB has two midweek games at Samford (Tuesday, March 29) and versus Birmingham Southern on Wednesday, March 30, for the Rickwood College Classic, before hosting Marshall next weekend.
