Sierra Frazier Named to Preseason All C-USA Team

BIRMINGHAM- Tuesday morning, Conference USA announced preseason honors for the 2022 softball season. Among the honorees was junior catcher Sierra Frazier, who was named to the preseason All-Conference team.
Frazier had an excellent season in 2021, recording a .371% batting average, 33 runs including nine home runs, a 33 game on-base streak, and 11 multi-hit games. That same season, Frazier started all 50 games, set a single-season program record for on base-percentage (.517) and also recorded a perfect fielding percentage. At the end of the season, Frazier was named as a First Team All-Conference Selection, a Mideast Region Second Team Selection, and was also named to the Conference USA All-Academic team.

The UAB softball team will be in action this weekend at the Evangeline Bank and Trust Invitational in Lafayette, Louisiana. The first game will be played versus the University of Louisiana at 4:00 p.m. CT.
