BIRMINGHAM- Softball season has begun! There is so much to be excited about in Birmingham as the team continues its 2022 season. The team welcomes 15 newcomers to the roster this year. UABSports.com will introduce you to these new Blazers and provide unique opportunities to get to know them.
Today's Meet the Blazers profile features freshman outfielder Bella Wiggins.

Position: Outfield
Height: 5-7
Hometown: Fairhope, Ala.
High School: Fairhope
Why did you choose UAB?
BW: "I chose UAB because I have the opportunity to pursue a high level of education, while playing competitive softball."
What is your major?
BW: Kinesiology
What is your favorite Musician?
BW: Kane
First softball memory:
BW: "Playing second base in my first season of softball in 8 and under, I would have to turn in a circle to throw because I'm left handed."
Dream travel destination:
BW: The Maldives.
Favorite thing to do outside of softball:
BW: "Spending time with friends and family; doing anything outdoors like biking, paddle boarding, and hiking."
What are you looking forward to most this season?
BW: "I am looking forward to competing with this great group of people, and traveling across the country to play softball."
