UAB in Fifth After Two Rounds of Sea Best Invitational

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The UAB men's golf team is in fifth place after the opening 36 holes at the Sea Best Invitational hosted by Jacksonville University at TPC Sawgrass – Dye's Valley.
The Blazers shot a 282 (+2) to find themselves on top of the leaderboard after the first round and a 290 (+10) in the second round. Overall, UAB is +12 and in fifth place heading into the final 18 holes on Tuesday, five shots off the lead.
Redshirt senior Nick Robillard (-1) leads the Green and Gold sitting in a tie for third place. Sophomore Khavish Varadan (+2) is tied for 13th. Robillard, the 55th-ranked player in the nation shot a one-under (69) in the opening round and even par (70) in the second round. Varadan went even par in round one (70) and shot two-over (72) in round two.
Alfie Fox sits in the top 25 after shooting four-over (71-73) and is in a tie for 21st overall. Paul Bruce (72-75 = 147, +7) and Ethan Hagood (76-75 = 151, +11) round out the team scoring for the Blazers, sitting in a tie for 41st and a tie for 65th, respectively.
Playing as an individual, John Racciatti (+11) is in a tie for 65th after rounds of 78 and 73.
College of Charleston is on top of the leaderboard at +7, while two players are tied for the individual lead at -1.
