UAB Earns Fifth Consecutive ITA Community Service Award

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's tennis team has won the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southern Regional Community Service Award, the association announced Monday. This marks the fifth consecutive year the Blazers have won the award.
"I am so proud of the way our team has consistently focused and upheld the values of our athletic department and the women's tennis program both on and off the court," said head coach Mark Tjia.
The national winners of the awards will be announced on June 21.
Last month, UAB finished first in the country in the Helper Helper Women's Tennis Community Service rankings.
