UAB Baseball Concludes Conference Action at Marshall

BIRMINGHAM — With five games left in the regular season, the UAB baseball team makes the trip to Huntington, W.Va. for the final conference series of the season on May 14-16 to face Marshall.
SERIES SCHEDULE
Game one of the series is scheduled for a 3 p.m. ET first pitch on Friday, May 14. Saturday is set for a seven-inning doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. ET. The series finale is a 1 p.m. ET first pitch on May 16.
UAB (16-33, 9-19 C-USA) vs. MARSHALL (8-33, 4-24 C-USA)
UAB holds the overall record over Marshall, 26-20. The last meeting between the programs came on April 26-28, 2019 where the Blazers won the series 2-1 over the Thundering Herd at Young Memorial Field.
UAB LATELY
The Blazers are coming off its final homestand of the season versus Rice. UAB won game one of the doubleheader on Saturday on a walk-off by Thomas Johnston in the seventh inning.
Chandler Simpson leads the Blazers at the plate with a .310 batting average, 48 hits and 23 stolen bases.
MARSHALL LATELY
Marshall is coming off a four-game conference series at No. 19 Charlotte and a midweek game at West Virginia.
The Thundering Herd are led by Luke Edwards, who is batting .328 in 38 games. Edwards ranks fourth in Conference USA with four doubles.

Jess Davis has 75 career stolen bases and is now fifth all-time in program history in career stolen bases.
