UAB Men’s Golf Set for Conference USA Championship in Texarkana

TEXARKANA, Ark. – Looking to win the program's second C-USA title, the UAB men's golf team will compete at the Conference USA Championship this Monday-Thursday, April 26-29, at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark.
The four day event will feature 54 holes of stroke play with the top four team advancing to match play on Thursday for the semifinals and championship match. The Blazers have advanced to match play in each of the last two C-USA championships but did not reach the finals.
UAB enters this week's tournament as the second highest ranked C-USA school and should earn a berth into the NCAA Regional Tournament in two weeks. The Blazers are ranked 38th nationally and will look to contend with Charlotte who is No. 33.
Reigning Conference USA Coach of the Year Mike Wilson's lineup features Nick Robillard, Drew Mathers, William Walker III, Khavish Varadan and John Snoddy. This unit, along with Ethan Hagood, has been in the starting five for the majority of the year and helped the Blazers win three straight tournaments in the fall and earn the program's highest national ranking of No. 5.
