BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball team welcomes Middle Tennessee for its first Conference USA series of the season March 26-28.
UAB (7-11, 0-0 CUSA) VS. MIDDLE TENNESSEE (11-8, 0-0 CUSA)
The Blazers hold the all-time record against Middle Tennessee, 41-38. The last matchup between the two programs came on April 12-13, 2019 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Blue Raiders took the series, 2-1.
SCHEDULE CHANGES
Friday's UAB baseball game will be a seven-inning doubleheader at 1 p.m. The location for the game is TBD. A 1 p.m. first pitch is set for Saturday at Young Memorial Field and Sunday's game time is 1 p.m. at Regions Field.

The Blazers are coming off their first extra-innings contest of the season against cross-town opponent, Samford, on March 23. The Bulldogs came away with the win, 5-1, in 10 innings. Freshman Chandler Simpson ranks second on the team with a .333 batting average and is 7-for-7 in stolen bases.
MIDDLE TENNESSEE LATELY
The Blue Raiders are coming off a four-game series against Memphis on March 19-21. MT is led at the plate by Cole Escher who is batting .353 in 13 games. Fausto Lopez is leading the team with 11 RBIs and 12 stolen bases, which is the top mark in the conference.
TOPPING THE LEAGUE
Jess Davis is tied for 10th in the nation in stolen bases (10) and ranks in the top-10 in Conference USA in runs scored (20), hits (25) and RBIs (16).
RECORD WATCH
Jess Davis has 64 career stolen bases. He sits seventh in program history and needs eight more to move into a tie for sixth.
