UAB Baseball Travels to Georgia Southern For First Road Series

BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball team makes its first road series trip of the season as it travels to Statesboro, Ga. to take on Georgia Southern.
UAB (6-5, 0-0 CUSA) VS. GEORGIA SOUTHERN (6-6, 0-0 SBC)
The series this weekend marks the first meeting between the programs since 1987. UAB won the lone game in a 10-6 decision in Birmingham.

The Blazers are coming off a close game against Auburn at Regions Field on Tuesday, March 9 which the Tigers won, 6-5. UAB's last weekend series came against Kennesaw State, where the Owls took the series 2-1. Three out of the last four games for the Blazers have played were one-run decisions.
GEORGIA SOUTHERN LATELY
Through 12 games this season, Georgia Southern has played half of them against ranked
opponents. The Eagles had their first ranked win of the season versus No. 22 East Carolina on Feb. 27. Georgia Southern has won four of its past five games, with the lone loss coming against Georgia on March 9.
