STARKVILLE, Miss. - Playing their third consecutive Power 5 school to start the spring season, the UAB women's tennis team fell to Mississippi State 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.Β
In doubles,Β Dominika HrabalovaΒ andΒ Adela WasserbauerovaΒ battled hard on Court 1, but fell 6-4.Β
The Bulldogs won all six singles matches in straight sets.Β WasserbauerovaΒ faced the No. 69 player in the country,Β Emma AntonakiΒ on Court 2, but fell 6-1, 7-5.
UAB's spring home opener will be Wednesday against Mercer. The match, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, will be played at George Ward Park with a noon start time.
