UAB Baseball Announces 2021 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball team and head coach Perry Roth announced the team's 54-game schedule Tuesday afternoon. The Blazers will host 32 home games, including four Conference USA weekends and 16 nonconference matchups.
UAB opens the season Feb. 19-21 with a three-game series against Valparaiso. The first away contest for the Blazers comes Feb. 23 at Troy.
The nonconference schedule is highlighted by five SEC midweek matchups. The Blazers will host Alabama (March 2) and Auburn (March 9). UAB travels to Mississippi State (April 20), Auburn (May 4) and Alabama (May 11).
Conference USA games will feature a four-game series: single nine inning games on Friday and Sunday and two seven inning games on Saturday.
League play begins March 26-28 when Middle Tennessee comes to Birmingham. The Blazers then travel to Ruston, La. April 1-3 to face Louisiana Tech.
UAB will stay on the road April 9-11 to play Southern Miss. The Blazers return home April 16-18 to face defending Conference USA regular season champion, Florida Atlantic.
The Green and Gold travels to Murfreesboro, Tenn. on April 23-25 for another matchup against Middle Tennessee. UAB returns to the Magic City to face-off against UTSA April 30-May 2.
The home finale for the Blazers comes May 7-9 when they take on Rice. The Blazers wrap up league play on the road to face Marshall in Huntington, W.Va. May 14-16.
Postseason play begins at the Conference USA Championship is Ruston, La. May 26-30, with NCAA Regionals on June 4.
