MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 5 UAB men's golf team returns to the course for the first time since late September to participate in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama at Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.
The Blazers look to keep their momentum going from the fall in which they won all three tournaments they played in and earned their highest national ranking in program history of No. 5.
Along with UAB and South Alabama, the field consists of: Davidson, Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana, Kansas State, Kent State, Lipscomb, Louisville, Michigan, South Alabama, South Alabama 'B,' Southern Miss, Toledo and WKU.
Head Coach Mike Wilson will field a team of William Walker III, Drew Mathers, Nick Robillard, Khavish Varadan and Ben Reichert. Ethan Hagood will also participate as an individual.
Robillard enters the spring ranked No. 13 nationally. He placed top five in all three tournaments last fall and won the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate.
The field will play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The course is a par 72 that plays 7,212 yards.
