BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's soccer team looks to move to a perfect 3-0 record on the road when the Blazers take on No. 10 Kentucky on Sunday. Sunday's matchup in Lexington, Kentucky, is set to begin at 5 p.m. CT.
The Blazers (2-6, 0-1 C-USA) fell 3-1 to Georgia State on Wednesday at BBVA Field. UAB's late comeback against Conference USA's No. 23 FIU this past Saturday came up just short as Mason Robicheaux's goal in the 88th minute trimmed the Blazers' deficit to 2-1.
UAB's match at Kentucky will stream live on ESPN+. Fans will also be able to follow this weekend's matchup via live stats.
LAST TIME OUT
UAB entered the halftime break of Tuesday's match against Georgia State tied at 1-1, but the Panthers struck twice within a two-minute span in the second half to pull away for a 3-1 road victory. Senior Nathaniel St. Louis once again earned a tally on the scoresheet by burying his second penalty kick goal of the year, tying the match at 1-1 in the 33rd minute.
UAB built on its momentum from late in the first half to fire five shots within the first 25 minutes of the second half, but Georgia State's defense kept the Blazers off the scoreboard before registering the winning goal.
