BIRMINGHAM – Coming off a season opening tournament victory last week in Louisiana, the UAB men's golf team travels to Chattanooga this Monday and Tuesday for the Scenic City Classic at The Honors Course.
The tournament in Ooltewah, Tenn. features 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Tuesday's final round will air on ESPN3.
UAB is one of 10 teams in the field along with Chattanooga, Central Arkansas, Dalton State, East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, Little Rock, Mercer, Middle Tennessee and Western Carolina.
The Blazers' lineup consists of senior William Walker III, senior Drew Mathers, sophomore Ethan Hagood, junior Nick Robillard, freshman Khavish Varadan and sophomore John Snoddy.
UAB looks to continue its momentum from last week where it dominated the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate en route to winning the event by 14 strokes. The Blazers had three players finish in the top five, led by reigning Conference USA Player of the Week Nick Robillard.
Robillard won his first collegiate event by shooting 67-68-72 and carding a collegiate low 207 (-9). Walker III and Mathers tied for third overall at -4.
