Men’s Golf Tied for First After 36 Holes at Scenic City Classic

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Looking to win its second straight tournament, the UAB men's golf team is tied for first after two rounds of the Scenic City Classic at The Honors Course in Tennessee.
In what proved to be a very difficult course on Monday, UAB (+15) is tied for the lead with Little Rock, and those two teams lead Middle Tennessee (+18), East Tennessee (+18) and Chattanooga (+22) who round out the top five.
Only two players in the field are under par. Sophomore Ethan Hagood is leading the Blazers at +3 which has him tied for sixth overall.
Freshman Khavish Varadan rebounded from an opening round 78 with a one-under 71 in the second round. His +5 has him tied for 11th.
Nick Robillard is one shot behind Varadan at +6 and is tied for 14th heading into the final round. Drew Mathers and William Walker III are both tied for 29th at +11, while John Snoddy is tied for 49th at +19.
