Hecking Named CoSIDA District 4 Academic All-District At-Large Team

Jana Hecking added another to the list of her accomplishments after being selected to the 2020 CoSIDA District 4 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances both athletically and academically. District 4 comprises colleges and university in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
Hecking, who has an impressive GPA of 3.96 while majoring in biomedical engineering, finished the spring season 9-3 at No. 1 singles and was 15-7 overall. In doubles, she recorded an 8-2 record at No. 2 doubles and finished with 11 overall victories. She helped lead the Blazers to an 11-4 records including an eight match winning streak to conclude the 2020 season.
Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All America® honorees will be announced from June 16-19.
The junior received the ITA Southern Regional Cissie Leary Sportsmanship Award earlier this week.
