Women's Tennis Finishes Ninth in Helper Helper Community Service

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB women's tennis team finished ninth in the 2020 NCAA Team Works Helper Helper Community Service Competition. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Blazers have finished in the top 10.
UAB is the only Conference USA school to rank in the top 10.
The Blazers have done wagon washing at Children's of Alabama, put on a tennis clinic at Highland Park Racquet Club, participated in the Youth Goalball Regional Tournament at the Lakeshore Foundation and meal packing for Rise Against Hunger. Additionally, the team volunteered at for the Ronald McDonald House, Lovelady Thrift Store and the UAB Engineering Fair.
Always a fixture on campus, the Blazers have helped out with the Freshamn Move-In as well as various athletic events.
UAB ended its 2020 season with a 11-4 record and was on an eight match winning streak when the season was canceled on March 16.
