UAB's Winning Streak at Eight After 5-0 Victory Over WKU on Senior Day

BIRMINGHAM – UAB continued its winning streak to eight straight matches after a 4-0 victory over WKU on Sunday afternoon. The Blazers honored Marlene Herrmann and Hana Sisirak prior to the match for Senior Day.
The Blazers (11-4, 1-0 C-USA) opened up the match by winning the doubles point. Sisirak and Alexia Witthaus were 6-3 winners on Court 3. Dominika Hrabalova and Adela Wasserbauerova won 6-3 on Court 1.
Adela Wasserbauerova put the Blazers up 2-0 after a straight set win on Court 2, 6-1, 6-3. Herrmann gave UAB a 3-0 advantage when she won 6-2, 6-1 on Court 3. Hrabalova clinched the match on Court 4 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.
Megan Bertrands was also a 6-4, 6-1 winner on Court 5 immediately after the deciding point.
The Blazers remain at home when they host Lipscomb (3-8) on Mar. 14.
