Clarke Named Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Athlete of the Year

COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS – UAB freshman Sydney Clarke has been named the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Athlete of the Year as announced by the organization on Monday night. This prestigious award is part of the Bahamas National Sports Heritage Month. The winner was selected by fan voting.
Clarke was up against Kansas City Chiefs' Rashad Fenton, Phoenix Suns' Deandre Ayton, Sacramento Kings' Buddy Hield, Miami Marlins' Jazz Chisholm as well as six different Olympians.
This is the second straight year Clarke has been honored as she won the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Female Junior Athlete of the Year award in 2019.
